Angelina runs a local writing club for ages 8-18 every other week.

At Narrative Nexus Writing Club, a Narrative Enrichment Lesson is read, along with a Narrative Enrichment Challenge to help grow your understanding in the art of writing. Then, a predetermined prompt is assigned by the club leader and everyone in the group writes a short story inspired by that prompt. These prompts are inspiring and thought provoking, whether it be a piece of dialogue, a setting, a photo, or something more out of the box, such as “jumping out of your comfort zone” or “reverse” where the club members challenge themselves to make a full switcheroo, changing genre and writing style for a short story.

After everyone writes their stories, they send them to the leader and they are compiled into a single document to be read and critiqued by each member, and later discussed at the next meeting.

This club shows NO judgment and gives only positive constructive criticism!

*Narrative Nexus Creative Writing Bootcamp is a pre-requisite to join Writing Club. Bootcamps are offered periodically throughout the year.

Creative Writing Bootcamp

Angelina has crafted a 12 week course on storytelling for kids ages 8-18.

This Bootcamp will teach the different forms of writing, help to grow upon natural skills, and build confidence and poise in writing. There are hands on exercises and homework to ensure students are understanding and applying what they've learned to their stories.

*Narrative Nexus Creative Writing Bootcamp is a prerequisite to our Narrative Nexus Writing Club and is by enrollment only.

Angelina has crafted a 12 week crash course on building confidence and raising self esteem for kids ages 8-18.

This Bootcamp will teach the 4 types of speeches in public speaking, the proper etiquette when presenting a speech, as well as when listening to a speech, the importance of being bold when you speak, and how to be respectful of others around you who are speaking.

*Verbal Velocity Bootcamp is a prerequisite to our Verbal Velocity Speech Club and is by enrollment only.

Public Speaking Bootcamp

Speech Club

Angelina runs a speech club for ages 8-18 every other week.

At Verbal Velocity Speech Club, members take turns switching out roles commonly known in the Toastmaster's Association. Members continue in the practice of public speaking that they learned during the bootcamp.

Writing Contest

The Narrative Nexus Fiction Writing Contest by is an outlet for kids ages 8-18 to let their voices be heard and to receive feedback and encouragement from local authors in the valley. Contestants are separated into three divisions, Elementary, Middle School, and Hugh School.

All contestants receive a certificate and feedback on their stories from the judges in their age division.
All submissions are published in a writing digest.
The first, second, and third place stories in each division are included in the Echoes of Youth Anthology.
The first, second, and third place winners in each division receive a gift bag with surprise goodies.
