We offer a vibrant mix of bootcamps, clubs, workshops, tutoring, and contests designed for kids and teens across the Las Vegas Valley. Each experience is crafted to empower young creators to write boldly, build compelling characters, and connect through expressive storytelling. Whether they’re shaping a short story, exploring personal narrative, or crafting a fictional world, Narrative Nexus is a space to grow into voice, vision, and creative community.
Narrative Nexus Creative Writing Bootcamp
Designed for youth ages 8–18, this 12-week immersive course invites young storytellers to explore the art of writing with confidence, creativity, and clarity. Through hands-on exercises, guided lessons, and thoughtful homework, students will discover various forms of writing—from personal narrative to fiction and beyond—while deepening their natural strengths and building expressive poise.
Each session is crafted to nurture bold ideas, strengthen storytelling skills, and foster a supportive space where imagination can thrive. Whether students are just beginning or ready to refine their voice, this bootcamp offers a foundation for growth, connection, and creative courage.

Narrative Nexus Writing Club
Meets every other week in the Las Vegas Valley
Narrative Nexus Writing Club is a welcoming space where young writers gather to explore storytelling, stretch their creativity, and grow together. Each session begins with a Narrative Enrichment Lesson and a Narrative Challenge—designed to deepen understanding of writing craft in fun, thought-provoking ways.
From there, members respond to a creative prompt chosen by the club leader. These prompts range from dialogue snippets and vivid settings to imaginative themes like “reverse” or “jumping out of your comfort zone”—encouraging genre shifts, bold choices, and expressive experimentation.
After writing, members submit their stories to be compiled into a shared document. At the next meeting, stories are read, celebrated, and gently critiqued with positive, constructive feedback only—no judgment, just growth.

Narrative Nexus Annual Fiction Writing Contest
For youth ages 8–18
Celebrating voice, creativity, and connection
The Narrative Nexus Annual Fiction Writing Contest is a vibrant outlet for young storytellers to be heard, celebrated, and supported. Open to kids and teens across the Las Vegas Valley, the contest invites participants to submit original fiction and receive thoughtful feedback from local author-judges (AKA feedback friends).
Contestants are grouped into three divisions according to age.
Every participant receives: A personalized certificate, constructive, encouraging feedback from their feedback friends, and publication in The Narrative Digest.
Top Honors
The first, second, and third place stories in each division are featured in the Echoes of Youth Anthology, a special collection that showcases bold voices and imaginative storytelling. Winners also receive a curated gift bag filled with surprise goodies to celebrate their creative achievement.
